Riviera items for sale, everything must go

LAS VEGAS -- You now have the chance to own a piece of the Riviera Hotel and Casino.

The 60-year-old property has been closed for a little more than a week and workers are in the process of tagging everything that will be sold.

You can buy anything from a baby grand piano to a vacuum.

For some buyers, it's about nostalgia.

"There are people that have been coming to this casino for 60 years," said Donald Hayes, National Content Liquidators. "They just want a piece of it."

Dishes, fake floral arrangements and even the kitchen sinks are up for grabs.

"There's virtually something here for everyone," Hayes said.

The liquidation company says the general public accounts for about 70 percent of the sales.

"Flat screen TVs are popular," Hayes said. "We got over 2,000 flat screen TVs"

Items from hotel rooms, including entire bed sets are for sale. The liquidation company is also offering a package furniture deal.

"We're selling a complete guest room," Hayes said. "That's the beds, the dressers, the nightstand, the desk, the pictures on the wall, all for $299."

If you want a piece of the famous Frank Sinatra suite, that's for sale too.

The Riviera liquidation sale starts Thursday at 9 a.m. and is open to the public and commercial buyers.

There is a $10 fee to enter the hotel for the first four days of the sale. The sale is scheduled to end after 28 days.
