Ammar Harris was booked into Clark County Detention Center on April 16.

LAS VEGAS -- Suspected Las Vegas Strip shooter Ammar Harris was booked into Clark County Detention Center Tuesday morning after spending nearly six weeks in a Los Angeles jail. Metro Police released pictures and a video of Harris being booked into the detention center.

Harris is accused of shooting aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr. on Feb. 21 which caused Cherry's Maserati to crash into a taxi cab on the Las Vegas Strip. That cab exploded, killing the driver and a passenger.

Las Vegas Strip Shooting, Crash Leaves 3 Dead

Harris was arrested in California a week after the shooting and deadly crash. He was being held there until he could be extradited to Nevada.

Harris is due to make his first appearance in a Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.

The deadly crash happened on Fev.21, 2013.
