The legendary Marvel Comics artist John Romita Jr. is attempting to break is own record for a signing and drawing appearance. The attempt started Friday at the Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip.
The attempt was also a fundraiser for the Heroes for Jordan/Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. Jordan is a 12-year-old girl who was diagnosed with brain and spinal cancer when she was just 2 years old. She no longer has cancer, but she is now dealing with issues left those from cancer treatments.
Romita set a record in 2002 of signing and drawing for 48 continuous hours. People are invited to see Romita sign and draw and contribute to the Heroes for Jordan fund. Marvel character sketches and autographs will be available for a specified donation on a first-come, first-serve basis.
