County Approves Rezoning for Small-Scale Waterpark at Circus Circus

The Clark County Zoning Commission approved a zoning change that will allow MGM Resorts International to turn its current RV lot at the Circus Circus into a small-scale waterpark.

The change only impacts 22 acres of the 49-acre RV park. According to plans submitted to the county commission, the waterpark would be just 5.5 acres. MGM says will not be a traditional waterpark, but will include a lazy river, 90-foot water slides and special attractions.

The waterpark will be for guests staying at Circus Circus only.

Plans are moving forward on two other waterparks in southern Nevada, one in the southwest and one in Henderson.

The golf course was designed by famed architect Tom Fazio and Steve Wynn. It is an 18-hole, 7,042 yard, par 70 golf course with a dramatic waterfall on the 18th hole. Green fees are $500 per round.
