Casino Shooting Range Plans Pulled | Shopping & Services
Plans to build a gun store and shooting range at a mall inside a Strip casino have been scrapped for now.
Phase II Mall Subsidiary withdrew its application for a permit to operate a sporting goods, firearm sales and recreational facility from the Clark County Commission Wednesday. Gun maker Beretta was behind the effort.
The plan originally called for the facility to be built inside the Shoppes at the Palazzo.
County Commissioner Chris Guinchigliani had expressed deep concerns about the plans. She told 8 News NOW she wanted to see the company’s design and safety rules before she would vote.
There is no word on whether the company plans to resubmit the proposal.
