John Curtas compliments the burger, but has a question about the cost.

The size is right (12 oz.), the beef nonpareil, the grind perfect and the bun super-squishy — just the way Josh “Hamburger History” Ozersky demands.

Shanghai Lilly to Close

One of two adjacent Chinese restaurants at the resort, Shanghai Lilly will close and could be replaced by a well-known chef's effort, says John Curtas.

Giant Truffle Bought by Strip Eatery

Giant Truffle Bought by Strip Eatery

A Strip restaurant just paid a high price for a fabulous fungus.

Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace paid more than $5,000 for a 1.16-pound white truffle. The truffle was found by a 15-year-old boy in Piedmont, Italy. The young man was training with his father and his dog, when he spotted the truffle near a hazel tree. The restaurant says it can make 100 white truffle risotto dishes with the huge fungus.

Anyone who wants to try to the dishes made with the enormous truffle can get a reservation for dinner at Restaurant Guy Savoy. The eatery is open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. The restaurant specializes in seasonal dishes like the one featuring the white truffle.

For reservations, please visit www.caesarspalace.com or call 702.731.SAVOY.
