Caesars Cuts Ties with Embattled Southern Chef

Caesars Entertainment is just the latest company to cut ties with southern cook Paula Deen.

The company announced Wednesday that it had reached an agreement with Paula Deen Enterprises to end their business relationship. There are four Deen-themed restaurants at Caesars’ properties, none in Las Vegas. The company says it will rebrand the restaurants in the coming months.

The decision comes after the celebrity chef admitted to using racial slurs. The admissions came during a deposition for a lawsuit involving an employee.

Caesars joins Smithfield Foods, the Food Network and Wal-mart in severing ties with Deen. QVC and Sears say they are reviewing deals with Deen.
