Traffic restrictions for Rock in Rio, lane closures until 3 a.m.

LAS VEGAS — Starting at 1 p.m. traffic restrictions for the Rock In Rio will go into effect.

The two week long event runs May 15 and 16.  It's happening at the southwest corner of Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Each day around 1 p.m., Las Vegas Boulevard will be restricted to one southbound lane from Saint Louis Avenue to Convention Center Drive. It will only be open to residents and hotel guests, including the SLS Las Vegas, Hilton, and SKY properties, police said.

The lane closures will last until 3 a.m., police said.

In addition, Industrial Road will have one northbound lane closed from Desert Inn to Sahara Avenue.

Circus Circus Drive will be also closed to all traffic between Industrial and Las Vegas Boulevard.
