Mayweather and Pacquiao both make weight at official weigh-in
News

LAS VEGAS -- Both fighters in the so-called "Fight of the Century" have made weight at the official weigh-in Friday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed-in at 146 pounds and challenger Manny Pacquiao weighed in at 145 pounds. Boxing experts said they expect Mayweather to re-hydrate and have about a seven or eight pound advantage during the fight.

Boxing's welterweight division requires a fighter to weigh between 141 and 147 pounds at the time of the official weigh-in.

Saturday's fight between the two welterweights is expected to bring in an estimated $400 million. That estimate is based on a projected 300 million pay-per-view buys by Showtime and HBO.

During the traditional stare down after the weigh-in, Mayweather had a serious look on his face while Pacquiao smiled the entire time.

The fight is scheduled to begin at around 9 p.m. after all the undercard fights are done.
