LAS VEGAS -- Metro is investigating a critical injury accident that happened early Saturday morning on the Las Vegas Strip.
According to investigators a silver BMW and taxi cab collided on Las Vegas Boulevard and Sirens Cove Boulevard in front of the T.I. around 1:40 a.m.
Three occupants inside the taxi were transported to Sunrise Trauma. One occupant was in critical condition and the severity of the others are unknown.
Las Vegas Boulevard south of Spring Mountain Road was shutdown for nearly 10 hours while the accident was being investigated.
Police say the driver of the BMW failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
