Nevada Gaming Win Rises in December | News
CARSON CITY, Nev. - The Nevada Gaming Control Board reports casinos won $943 million from gamblers in December. That's an increase of 10.2 percent from December 2011.
Clark County casinos won more than $825 million in December - an increase of 11 percent. Casinos in downtown Las Vegas and along the Boulder Strip posted the largest gains.
Nevada collected $39 million in fees last month based on the revenues generated in December.
For the fiscal year that ran from July 2012 through December 2012, the gaming win rose 2.9 percent to $5.4 billion from $5.3 billion the year before.
