Las Vegas Visitor Count Drops in April
News

LAS VEGAS -- April saw a decline in visitors to Las Vegas compared with the same month in 2011, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority announced Tuesday.

LVCVA officials attributed the 0.9 percent drop to having one less weekend in April this year, as well as reduced convention attendance. Las Vegas visitation remains up for the year over 2011, with more than 13 million visitors representing a 2.4 percent increase.

Average daily room rate moved up over $109 per night, a 3.4 percent jump compared to last year.
