Once the Imperial Palace, Now The Quad | Gaming News
The new name for an older property on the Las Vegas Strip has been announced.
Caesars Entertainment announced Monday that the Imperial Palace will be renamed The Quad Resort & Casino. The property has already started its transformation, with changes to the front and bell desks already in place. Renovations are set to be finished by late next year.
The renovation plans include changes to the exterior facade, porte cochere, front desk, hotel lobby, casino floor, retail area and dining areas. When the renovations are finished, another 45,000 square feet will be added to the casino floor. The entrance to the resort will be moved to the north side of the building with access through Koval Lane or the Harrah's tunnel off Las Vegas Boulevard. The resort will be connected to Caesars' massive entertainment, retail and dining area called The LINQ.
“This property has always been known as a hub of social activity, where anyone can come relax and have a good time. As we update our offerings we want to further enhance that feeling of fun and connectivity. We think the name, The Quad, really embodies those sentiments.” Rick Mazer, the resort’s president said.
The resort will remain open throughout the renovation.
