Strip-Peddler Ban Moves Forward
The Clark County Commission moved forward Tuesday on a proposal that could restrict or ban peddlers on the Las Vegas Strip.
Under the new rule, vendors would not be allowed to sell anything on public sidewalks or streets. Commissioner Steve Sisolak says the goal of the ordinance is to improve safety on the busy street. The rule is part of a series of new rules the commission is looking at for the Strip. Earlier this year, the commission voted to restrict animals on the boulevard.
A public hearing and final vote on the ordinance could happen at the next commission meeting on July 3.
