Legendary Cyclist Featured in New Madame Tussauds' Display

A legendary sports figure has been added to the collection at Madame Tussauds at the Venetian, at least for a few weeks.

In celebration of Lance Armstrong's 40th birthday, his wax figure will be on display at the attraction from now until October 14. The figure features Armstrong riding a bike in a racing uniform.

The cyclist's birthday is September 18, but on October 2, which is Livestrong Day, the first 100 visitors to the exhibit will get a free Livestrong wristband. Madame Tussauds is open at 10 a.m. every day.

The display was planned before the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency stripped Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles and banned him from cycling. The decision was made after Armstrong refused to take the charges of doping that the agency had made against him to arbitration.
