Light Group Looking for Restaurant Workers

 

The Light Group, which owns several restaurants and nightclubs on the strip, is looking to fill positions at its restaurants.

The company is holding a casting call next week for several positions, including hostess, cocktail waitress, bartender, food server, food runner, sous chef and pastry cooks.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, people interested in the jobs can go to Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

A job fair featuring at least 20 different companies from around Las Vegas opens Wednesday at the Luxor Hotel and Casino.

The first session will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Some of the companies expected to be at the job fair include UPS, MGM Resorts International, Diamond Resorts, Tuscany Suites and Casino, Drivetime and Pep Boys.

Cosmopolitan Looking for Summer Season Workers

 

 

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is looking for employees to staff its pools for the 2013 season. It is one of several resorts staffing for the summer.

The auditions are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chelsea Ballroom, which is on Level 4 of the West End Tower.

Positions are available for the Boulevard Pool and the Bamboo Pool. Management is looking for beverage servers, mixologists, pool greeters and food servers.

Applicants are encouraged to bring a current resume and to dress to express their personal style. People can apply online at cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/careers.

There are other positions available for the pool season, including managers and lifeguards, but people interested in those positions do not have to go to the auditions set for Wednesday.

 

Light Nightclub Holding Casting Call Next Week

 

Light nightclub at Mandalay Bay is holding a casting call next week.

The casting call is from noon to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at 1 Oak nightclub at Mirage.

The club is hiring for a number of positions, including VIP table hostess, VIP bar host, VIP security, bussers, runners and more.

Candidates must apply in person and must be 21 years old and over. 

New Strip Restaurant and Nightclub Looking for Hundreds of Workers

 

A large, new dining and nightlife complex set to open at the MGM Grand this spring is holding open auditions for 500 open positions starting next week.

Hakkasan Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub and Wet Republic Ultra Pool are looking for people for several positions, including servers, bussers, bartenders, VIP host, manager and lifeguards.

Restaurant position auditions:

  • Dates: January 14 to 17 and 23 to 25
  • Time: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Location: Space next to Sugar Factory, located in The District at MGM Grand
  • Requirements: All applicants must bring resume.

Daylife and nightlife position auditions:

  • Dates: January 14 to 17 and 23 to 25
  • Time: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Location: LAX Nightclub, located inside Luxor Hotel and Casino
  • Requirements: All applicants must audition in swimwear, bring headshot and resume to interview.

Career Fair Planned for People Leaving Military Service

A career fair is set for members of the military transitioning out of their time in the service.

Civilianjobs.com is hosting the career expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nellis Air Force Base Officers Club, 5871 Fitzgerald Boulevard.

The job website will pre-match people looking for employment with companies looking for workers. The process allows companies to only meet with would-be employees that best fit the positions they are trying to fill. Besides job skills, companies and people are also matched on geographic preferences.

There will be employers from several types of careers, including administration, healthcare, law enforcement, maintenance, engineering and aviation. Those interested in going to the career expo are advised to pre-register at civilianjobs.com. People can upload their resumes onto the site.

New Pizza Place on the Strip Looking for Talent

 

A new pizza place is looking for employees. Slice of Vegas is set to open in April at the The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

The restaurant is hosting a job fair Monday through Friday. Interviews will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on location, 3930 Las Vegas Blvd. Suite 120. The eatery is looking for both front and back-of-the-house positions. Anyone interested is asked to first fill out an online application at sliceofvegaspizza.com.
