An eyewear store on the Las Vegas Strip will be hosting a benefit for a charity based in Boulder City.

RetroSpecs & Co will host an event 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday to benefit St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. The event will feature live entertainment, food from STK and wine. It is open to the public. Half of all the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s. The eyewear store is inside the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. It focuses on using the designs from history, but makes them with modern materials.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children provides a home-like environment for abused, abandoned and neglected kids around southern Nevada.  

Women can find enjoy free spa services Tuesday afternoon at Rio Hotel & Casino, thanks to the resort and a skin care company.

For the third consecutive year, the resort teams up with skin care company Dermalogica to support women in business. Complimentary treatments will be offered between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., as well as discounts on select products and services to benefit Dermalogica’s joinFITE initiative.

Guests will receive a complimentary mini-facial along with a “Give a Hand Up” MicroZone treatment and Dermalogica’s Face Mapping skin analysis. A 25-percent discount will be available on all skin care services and Dermalogica products, and $1 from each product purchased at the spa will benefit the FITE organization. JoinFITE (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship) is an international initiative launched by Dermalogica that supports women entrepreneurs worldwide.
