LAS VEGAS -- Club music, iPads and a holographic safety briefing is how a new airline plans to attract passengers who want a direct flight from New York City to Las Vegas.

LV Air plans to offer four daily direct flights from JFK to Las Vegas this year. The charter flights will offer mood lighting, wireless iPads, inter-seat texting and video and holographic safety messages from Las Vegas celebrities. The airline plans to use a smart phone based reservation system and will only serve the Las Vegas market.

The company says it plans to handle the demand from the nearly 20,000 seats "per day" currently missing from the Las Vegas market since 2008.
