Inaugural Scarecrow Festival in Support of Communities In Schools of Nevada | Arts & Culture
Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS) invites families for an evening of fall activities at the inaugural Scarecrow Festival on from 6-10 p.m. on October 21 at The Sports Center of Las Vegas.
CIS has gathered seasonal favorites for children of all ages to participate in as parents mix and mingle and enjoy live entertainment while benefiting the organization that is part of a national dropout prevention network. Rounding out the evening is a spread of tastings prepared by restaurants from The Cosmopolitan.
Seasonal activities include the hay bale maze, decorating pumpkins, playing festive games, completing challenges on the climbing wall and hitting in batting cages to win prizes. Costumes are encouraged, as the most creative attire will win highly coveted awards.
Plates will be offered by Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, China Poblano, Comme Ça, D.O.C.G., Holsteins, Jaleo, Estiatorio Milos, Scarpetta, STK and Wicked Spoon alongside an open beer and wine bar provided by Southern Wine and Spirits.
Roving magicians, balloon artists and other entertainers will provide interactive fun at the benefit.
The Scarecrow Festival welcomes all families to enjoy an evening of food and beverages while participating in fall favorites. Tickets are $175 for adults, $50 for kids, with tables of 10 available for $2,500. Reservations can be made by visiting http://www.cisnevada.org/scarecrow or calling 770-7611 by October 14.
