Eataly to open at Park MGM Dec. 27

The world's largest Italian marketplace is coming to Las Vegas. Eataly is opening Dec. 27 inside Park MGM.

Eataly is promising an experience only beatable by actually visiting the European country. And in true Las Vegas fashion, it's the only location in the world that will be open 24 hours a day.

An Italian market place where you can eat, drink, and shop. Eataly Las Vegas is getting ready to open at the Park MGM. This will be its 6th location in the country with dozens more around the world.

"It's very beautiful, it's very different to any other city. I'm very very happy to help open Las Vegas," said Fulvio Marino, head baker, Eataly.

He's helping train the staff that will be working at the pizzeria, one of the many small, quick bite restaurants.

"Here we have pizza Alla Pala, that basically is pizza that comes from Rome, is a Roman style pizza and is bakery pizza," Marino explains.

Aside from never closing, Eataly is bringing a new concept to its Las Vegas location. Some of the small restaurants will sell the products they use to cook.

"So, after wondering a lot how do we put restaurants into the market, we actually went backwards, let's put the market into the restaurants so when you go to our Marcelleria you have the restaurants that's going to cook you the meat, but the butcher counter is right there," said CEO Nicola Farinetti, Eataly North America.

Farinetti's father founded the company in 2004.

"If you really like food, you need to come here because we buy the best ingredients that exists everywhere from Italy to America."

The 40,000 square foot space will also accommodate wine tastings and cooking classes.

"So, we hope that people who come here eat like in Italy," Marino said.
