LAS VEGAS -- The man accused in a beating death at the Luxor hotel has been released from jail. Jason Sindelar was released after a court hearing on Wednesday because the District Attorney has not filed their case against him.

The DA plans to file a case against Sindelar. The next court date for will be for a status check on July 27, 2010.

Police say Sindelar beat Demario Reynolds to death on Saturday. Sindelar is accused of punching Reynolds several times in the head and chest. Sindelar has a background in mixed martial arts, but appears to have only had one professional fight.

According to a police report, Sindelar was fighting with his girlfriend at a Luxor hotel room early Saturday morning. Witnesses told police Reynolds tried to break it up. That's when Sindelar allegedly attacked. Reynolds is a former UNLV football player.

If convicted, Sindelar could spend the rest of his life in prison.
