2 Men Indicted in Murder of Hooters Hotel Worker
Crime

LAS VEGAS  -- Two men are due for arraignment Wednesday following their indictment on kidnapping, robbery, sex assault, murder and other charges in the January abduction and slaying of a Hooters casino restaurant worker.

Police believe 38-year-old Gregory Hover and 18-year-old Richard Freeman are responsible for a string of violent crimes in January, and prosecutors are expected to consider seeking the death penalty against them.

A Clark County District Court grand jury handed up an indictment Friday charging Hover and Freeman in the slaying of 21-year-old Prisma Ivette Contreras.

The two men also face murder, attempted murder and other charges in the separate slaying of a 64-year-old man and wounding of his wife during a home-invasion robbery in January. A preliminary hearing in that case resumes April 29.
